Finally, job done

Well, this is it; the day I have been waiting for and how does it feel? Fantastic!! Today was the day that over 24 hours of time on the water targetting one species, refining rigs and watching others catch it, I finally got my Zander!! For me this whole mission started last summer after catching word that the local angling associations had abandoned the stretch of the Grand Union canal because of this fish that I had never heard of.

Disability Weekend, Llangorse

The weekend of 24th, 25th & 26th June 2011 saw me making the trip over the border, passport in hand, to Llangorse Lake. Nestled away in the Brecon Beacons this location provided a fitting backdrop to the now annual disabled kayaking and sailing day. The kayaking side of things is organised by Martin Hurst who I met through the Anglers Afloat website and the sailing was "organised" by the sailing club.
